I've got a custom Giles tune on my S, and absolutely love it. The pretuned units are really good also. You may lose around 1hp with it than if you got a custom tune, so no big deal. Giles is retired now. This would be your best bet. Pretty good deal too. You are basically paying for the hardware, and you get a free Giles tune.

Ha, not much. My car is pretty weak. 198whp on a Dyno Dynamics. I didn't really gain much peak hp, maybe 3 whp, but mid range was a pretty good bump.

No plans for modding either. May do suspension as a treat after I pay this stupid personal loan off. After that, its onto the car. Good news is though, 1 year I should be debt free!!

The key is that it's power delivery is smooth. You can't feel vtec kick in because mid range power picked up that much. That's a good thing when your are already at the car's cornering limit. No surprises.

I wouldn't really bother if you are stock and plan on staying that way. The big benefits come in if you have a high flow cat, or test pipe.
