I need advice. I received a call from a Pay Phone from this guy. He gave me all this information about who stole my engine. Telling me its still in his basement, under a tarp next to his pool table. He gave me the thieves address, full name, and cell phone number. Explained to me how he knew it was there (some kid that goes to school with my little cousin). So I roll thru there last night to get the house number, and see 3-4 civics outside of it. So I pull up to a gas station, call the cops. Explain the situation, and the kid has priors so they were pretty fast to respond. They go over to the house, the kids are gone by now so the pops answers. The cops says he was a complete dick to them. So they did a walk around the house, and peeked in the basement window and saw exactly what I explained. A pool table, with a large item covered in a blue tarp. The only option they gave me was to go talk to there commissioner, and tell them I physically saw it. Then the commissioner will have base to sign a search warrant. This all happened last night, do you think the motor is gone by this morning. Or do you think hes too scared to move it, and he'll wait til this all blows over. How should I go about this, I could easily put his info up on blast on Tennspeed.net but im not sure if that is right or not.

Let me know what you all think.
well if this is your only option, I would have woke the Comish up last night.

So, the thing that took 15 seconds last time(removing ball joint via hitting with hammer) is not working, but the axle came out in 5 minutes, which took over 2 hrs last time....I can't win. Of course I did not pick up a ball joint seperater this morning, as last time I didn't need it.

Back to the zone....
ha, it always seems to go like that. I don't like ball joint separators I'd rather just keep trying with the hammer method. Those separators will rip boots sometimes.

Damn Reebs, that sucks, but at least you found the motor. I'd let the police handle it. That's all you really can do without doing something illegal yourself.

If it isn't going to break the bank - just go get a 3gs, son.

Working as much as Brad does, I seriously doubt a 3gs would break the bank

yea, I really dont like them for that reason. I tried and tried the hammer way and it just wasnt happening. Got the fork thankfully didn't have any boot damage. A little grease came out but not a ton.

It drives with no wobble or vibrations now!!!!
