Nashville Superspeedway HPDE's
Hey all,
I've been tracking my car with Chin @ Barber and am looking to add another venue that's not too far away. Nashville fits the bill and the road course inside the oval looks promising. Who among you have done HPDE's here? With which group? How was your experience?
Any details, thoughts, etc... are welcome.
Thanks

ive never driven there...but i know the viper club, BMW club, and i think Mustang club all rent it out...dont necessarily have to have one of those cars...but i know of those three running down there...youd have to check with those guys about times and schedules....the mustang club meet down there is pretty big by the way...and if im not mistaken it's in the mid springtime when they meet...

yeah, the mustang club meet is probably the biggest one. I've watched people run it and one of my buddies has ran it before so if I think about it, I'll get an opinion from him about it.

NSP is a fun place but nothing like a dedicated road race course. Just past Barber another 40 minutes is a little track called Talladega Grand Prix Raceway that may be more fun. Never taken my car there but looks like fun. Other close tracks are of course Road Atlanta and Putnam Park. If you've never done NSP then do it with the Music City Mustang Club, they have events there twice a year. Once you've been to Barber then you're spoiled. I've only watched there but that is about to change.

I've done Nashville twice and it's decent and I'm no expert, but I have quickly grown tired of that track, I just did the fall run with the mustangs and I chose the novice class again. You can only pass on the front and back straigts no matter what class you're in anyway. I even asked the organizers if they could run the track in the oppisite direction, they said they tried it and it just dosen't work. I always leave early because once you do it about 4 sessions thats all you can learn. But for 135.00 what else you gonna do in Nashville.

First of all, thanks for the replies.
Sounds like the mustang club meet is the way to do it. I'd love to do RA, but it's an eight hour adventure. I know that a road course inside an oval isn't the best bet, but until I move or start trailering I'll take what I can get. Yes, I have the feeling Barber has me spoiled.
Where else do you guys run?
