Nashville NEW member
First, the car is to arrive on or about Jan 20th. I would like to join this club (I used to live in Knoxville and love that area)
I think there is another member on here from Nashville, so maybe we can put together a N. Trace run (Federal Park running from Nashville to Natchez Miss) Nice road to drive on
02' blk / blk
Only mod will be tinted windows......
Let me know what is going on, when, etc, etc......

I'm game for a "Trace Run." The funny thing is I just did a search on "Natchez Trace" and this site was one of the many that popped up. I've heard some nice things about the cornering of S2Ks. I look forward to seeing it in person.

Was anyone here on the Trace today? I went for a quick sprint down to the Leipers Fort area. While zipping around the curves I saw a silver S2K and a Z3 go by. I was going to turn around and catch up to BS with those guys, but there wasn't a good place to turn around. I'm not up to date on my BMW knowledge, but do they make the Z3 in M trim? I thought I saw the little /// markings on the back, but I couldn't be too sure because I saw the back for less than a second. The BMW was blue........ Well, like I said before, if anyone wants to hit the Trace for a few miles, let me know. My wife and I recently moved out a little past Bellevue and we're only 7 miles away from the start of the Trace. Later......

First, I need to get mine. I am off the Cumberland River, next to the Commodore Yacht Club. So once mine comes in I can meet you there for a ride. Watervalley Overlook is a very nice place !!!!!
As for the Z3...The M will only have different badges on it and wider tires (17" I think)
The Trace will be a cool place to ride. Keep an eye out for the Part Rangers !!!

GID: Yeah, I hear the Park Rangers aren't very friendly when it comes to speeding. I drove about 15 miles down and back and didn't see one PR. I don't think I've been to Watervalley Overlook. Then again, I've never gone too far down the Trace. After a while, it seems the road straightens up. ...... My favorite spot has been the first bridge you come to. WOW!! I didn't realize how high it was until I walked across it and looked down. My firends and I like to go WOT at the bridge, as long as there is no traffic. As long as you brake right at the end of the bridge, there is no way you could not see a vehicle or pedestrian coming around the next hill. And as always, you have to watch out for all of the people on bicycles. Since it's getting colder, I doubt there will be that many of them out......

I bike on the road too. Mostly in the summers on Tue evening. Great road..
Water Valley is about 30 miles down from hwy 96. Great on a full moon, picnic tables are there. There are many cool places along there (Gordon cabin, Tenn Divide, etc)
Keep driving down, the road still twists and turns. The rangers use Radar and are pretty open about it......
Im off for a looong weekend
Happy New year

Hey GID,
Did you ever find anyone to do that Trace run with you? I live in Franklin and would love to hook up sometime for a run.
You can tell the M Z3's by the dual exhaust and notched front spoiler. I almost bought one. They're fast as hell, but won't keep up with the S2K in the corners.
