To be fair though, I thought that I had run a 1:19 on a damp track also. I guess we keep getting faster in our heads, lol, but alas the numbers don't lie.

Not for me. I think it's about 3 hrs. from Jackson, MS. That's as close to a home track as I'm going to get.

does the track seem like it would be fun? i haven't seen any pictures or video of it

and once the speedway is closed, i think road atlanta is closest to me at just over 4 hours

NASA Mid South needs to pick up Barber. With that and NOLA it would be one of the best regions.

I hear it's supposed to be pretty nice. They are going to build 2 courses. When complete, the full course is supposed to be 5 miles.

Unfortunately, there probably won't be many elevation changes since it's all swamp land out there. Unless of course they bring in some dirt.
