Soooo, need some opinions from some of you guys..... Any of you running an non-stock clutch do the clutch switch bypass? Apparently a lot of people do this so they don't have to clutch in on start up. According to others, clutching in on startup with a non-factory clutch can cause premature rod bearing failure, which may be what happened to me. Although I'm not entirely sure, because I don't even know what failed. Just curious if some of you have heard of it or have done it before. I found a complete Long block on ebay for 1799 if it ends up coming down to that. It's supposed to have 40K miles on it. We'll see I guess! I'll keep you all posted...

lol.... well guys its not looking good. Motor is definitely mechanically locked.... I put a socket on the crank and it wont budge one bit. My next step is going to be to pull the intake and exhaust manifolds so I can pull the head and see if timing jumped and sent a valve into a piston....otherwise I'm thinking it was a rod bearing failure....we shall see. I hope my head is salvageable. I found a decent block for 250 that just needs a good hone....so we'll see what ends up happening....

Does Drew check the boards here? I found these guys that will take care of the ticket for $150 plus fine and court fees. He said he can get it reduced to $64 and a waiver so I don't have to appear.
