Default Mugen Exhaust Installed

Why the crap does the AP1 Mugen exhaust require hanger gymnastics to align the canisters properly?

I couldn't believe how it looked before I bent the hangers. Has anyone else had this problem or familiar with it?

Thanks.

I don't recall that there should be a problem with the AP1 exhaust on an AP1. Bending the hooks as you have done will not hurt anything.

The rubber hangers aren't swapped around are they?

What do you mean? There are 5 rubber hangers total, all of them look the same to me, and each are symmetrical horizontally and veritcally.

I was not sure if that was the case. I'm sure it's just a hanger issue then. Is there any possibility that this exhaust was on an AP2 before you bought it?

No, this was a factory fresh purchase from King Motorsports. The exhaust was super clean, inside and out. Not even a fingerprint on it.

On the bright side, I LOVE the sound, and pictures have never done this thing justice as this is the first time I've seen it in person. I'm very happy with it.

But nothing like 2 hours of PITA vise grip struggling to put a damper on the whole thing..

Holy Bling. To say it's a nice choice is very understated.

Nice pick up Matt!

I'd love to see and hear the exhaust in person.

I was pleasantly surprised by the difference in tone. A nice deep grumble from 1 to about 5K, but basically stock sounding from there.
