Default Looking for AP2 Wheels

If you know of anyone local or close that is selling a full set of AP2 V.1 or V.2 wheels let me know. I will consider other 17x7 / 17x7.5 fronts and 17x8.5 rears if not too expensive. These will be for track duty on the 01.

Thanks guys,

Rob

I need to find some wheels because I don't want to run the stock 16's. I also want to put the H & R springs on so it will be set up just like my yellow 02. I need to do the oil jet change, have the valves checked/adjusted, install the test pipe, change dif and tran fluid and then bleed the brakes with some DOT4. That's it besides buying a trailer to get it there. I move slow, you would laugh watching me work with tools!

^^ hey Rob. I think the 16's would work well on the track with some slicks on. It will definitely be cheaper. You should probably get a good set of coilovers for your track car. The stock suspension is a better setup than springs alone. Oh and if you do go with slicks, look in to some beefier sway bars. That thing is going to be a blast at the track!

After driving this car in stock form and then driving my 02 there was a noticable difference. Even after I put my BBS on the track car and drove it that way I didn't like it. That is why I will copy my set up with 17's and Springs. I will stick with street tires for a few track days before going to R compounds. I don't have the skill to out drive Kuhmo MX and the knowledge to adjust coilovers yet.

Just bought some stock AP2 wheels today. Now to order tires and springs.

I've been looking here and there for 4 weeks now. Funny, I found these in the wanted to buy section under someone else post. The hardest part to find so far with a good price was the air pump and I got lucky.

Air pump? Looking for the 08MY CR's OEM air pump? Otherwise, any 12V DC cheapy air pump would have done fine, no?

No, the air pump for the emmissions system located under the drivers head light. Those always get damaged in front end collisions. When this car was rebuilt they just didn't put one in. I won't install it unless I sell it or want tags for it later. For now I just transfered the tags from my yellow one.

AP2 wheels should be here today. Now time to order some tires and springs.

Ah! That air pump! Hell, it's a track car. Don't bother.
