Lemon Law Issue - Updated
So, my sis-law's vw is a POS. Literally. It's been in and out of the dealer 7 times now.
The car has less than 3k miles.
Anyone know of someone that got a car bought back in TN? In NJ you could use a state appointed arbitrator to help but I'm not sure here.

Im not sure about TN but sorry for her luck!
My buddy in VA bought a srt-4 a few years back and after a few months noticed there was a huge damaged spot on the radiator support(was a brand new car when he bought it 97 miles or something). Was putting mods on the car and thats when he found the damage.
Well, The fighting went on for a while and he ended up driving it for a little over a year and he got a check for what he paid for the car, plus some on top of that. Pretty much drove a car for about a year for free.
I know your sister's deal is a little different but best of luck!

Yeah, my buddy bought one of those new land rovers (the small one they came out with before the lr3) Anyway, he kept having trouble with it and eventually they just gave him a discovery instead. I'll ask and see if he had to use a lawyer or what.

That really sucks, my brother and sister-in-law bought a 2009 July of last year (brand new). Auto TDI. It's got almost 70k miles on it right now and they haven't had hardly any issues with it. It's lifetime fuel mileage calculation is 46 mpg. The thing would keep up with my 09 civic si decently too! Good luck with whatever happens... I'm assuming they've already talked to the GM at the dealership about it?

Just an update...I found out that the BBB has an agreement w/ OEM's to arbitrate issues like this.
We filed all the paperwork this morning w/ the BBB. Just need to fax them the dealership reports etc. Then they contact the manufacturer and will try to resolve this.

Would rather not say which dealer just yet. We heard back from the BBB today and they filed the claim w/ VW. We had to fax in some more paperwork to build the case and supply them w/ all the evidence etc. We have a dedicated agent now too. So far so good.
