Hey Hondawill...I didnt know there was any other s2ks around besides silk..you have probably seen my nfr its an ap1 with ap2 front bumper, headlights etc. It has chrome wheels that everyone gives me a hard time about lol...they came with the car when I bought it...they are growing on me though with the deep lip..

and the air pump seems to be cutting off and on like its supposed to...i have not seen that code again since i erased it...Im thinking something else caused that code to come up...Im wandering if the idle air control could cause the problems...although Im not sure if it could cause a misfire...unless it threw it into a limp mode...

no unfortunately I dont have a leak down tester...and honestly never used one...so the compression tester wont tell me everything then is what your saying....I hope its something simple...its got 67k miles and is an 01

yea give me a shout i am always up for a drive, not being able to see or hear in sounds like u might have an idle air control motor going out is it fine once it heats up just idles low when it is cold? if your touch the throttle it revs fine right? i am new to the s2k's do they have a thermo valve like every other honda motor? my civic did the same thing because i had an air pocket that settled over the thermo valve

well it is idling fine now. But the tone of the engine sounds different. It seems like the engine has a higher tone than usual as I go through the rpms. Vtec is WAY louder and its also WAY louder as I get on into 4 and 5k. The rpms are whinier if that makes any sense. There is a definite loss of power in the lower rpms, its like the rpms get real loud but the car isnt picking up like it should. Im not sure, but I have driven probably 50 miles or so since I cleared the codes and the check engine light still hasnt come back on. The air pump seemed fine this morning, it cut on and off like normal..Im not sure what the problem is, but I know its not right..something is wrong..

Ok, Im looking for someone who can swing by my house maybe so we can compare cars...its been about 60 miles now and the check engine light has not come back on...it is idling better..but in my oppinion I still feel a loss of power and the engine revs sound way louder than usual. vtec is working...I havent really done anything to get rid of the cylinder 2 misfire...just checked the plugs, coils, and cleaned the IAC. Yet the idle is smoother and check engine light I cleared and hasnt come back, but something is still not right while driving...the engine seems abnormally loud...and a can tell there is a power loss...SO, if anyone is interested in swinging by and kinda comparing cars and taking a look at some ideas...it would be awesome! Id be open to providing dinner and beer lol...anyways..Im just lost with all of this..

Your not that far from my house I live right up the street from nissan. I just need some help figuring out if this is normal or not...which I dont think it is but I could be wrong..it just is so weird that its not throwing any codes right now and the mil hasnt come back on yet after 60 miles or so.its up to you though, if you got things going on thats cool too. or I could even meet you somewhere whatever is fine.
