I'd rather put 8k on ITB's and N/A power goodies than go FI again. I think it looses something as a daily driver. There is no "legal" venue to make use of your newfound speed outside of a racetrack. When 2nd tops out at 90 and your just now at the bottom of the on ramp with open freeway ahead.. that temptation to keep pushing it is a bitch... N/A might be slower, but less holding yourself back. just my .02

I've never seen an ITB S2k that ran worth a damn, they are a complete waste honestly. For 8k, hardtop, coils, sick set of wheels, I/H/E. Thats about as far as that $ would go.

I can honestly say I've never heard anyone say anything bad about ITB's, other than price. I've never also personally known anyone that had them. What kind of problems did they have? I was thinking about going this route at some point myself so this has me curious now.

So far I like the hardtop, wheels and exhaust (header back). For the street I would want a nice sounding dual set up though. I don't know if I could spend all 8K on it without it being purpose driven. Like, show car, track car or a speed beast.

I probably should have given my version from the get go...

I would like a hard top (eventually) painted black

Paint my hood black
Light weight Wheels, preferably 18's
Header back exhaust, single made from Ti (I don't dd my S)
Coilovers
Rollbar, painted same color as wheels (for the days leading up to the HT..lol)
SS braided brake lines
New brake pads/rotors
Alignment

I'm going to say that this would be on target if not just over pending deal hunting.

I would have to say that more than likely you would still have a little bit of money left it all depends on what top you would go with.

Now seeing as if I bought some quality parts recently:

1. I/H/E about $3,200-$3,500
2. Top Secret front Bumper roughly another $1,000 ( not including paint)
3. Seibon hood $500 ( not including paint)
4. New oem blue soft top (on the way) $700
5. Still missing Hondat Flashpro $700
6. That would leave me with about $1,600 too play with for rims and tires ( thinking RPF1's)

SHIT gets EXPENSIVE

ITB's are so finicky, one guy at the Dragon one year spent all night in the parking lot just trying to get his car to idle. Unless the weather is pretty much the same every time you drive the car and the elevation doesn't drastically change they seem to take constant tweaks. I've driven and ITB car before and wasn't impressed by how it felt at all. I think it even felt slower through places in the power band. Unless it's a specifically tuned race car or you live in Socal, they are just a huge waste of time and money to me. They look badass until you have to try and live with them and keeping the car running right.

Main reason, when I had the chance to get a local set of ITB's in VA I passed on them. Way to finicky!!!
