Honda S2000 car cover
Amanda bought me a Honda S2000 car cover for Valentine's Day and I had never gotten it out of the box until this weekend. She had a yard sale and I didn't want to park the S out in the rain, so I decided to use the car cover to protect it from handprints and the like.
Wow what a neat item. First of all it has the S2000 logo on the front in red, then it has special slots for the sideview mirrors and even the atenna. It is soft on the underside, to keep from scratching. It is easy to put on and protected the car great. I recommend it to anyone looking to purchase one. I have decided to keep it on the car all the time since it is so easy to take off and put on.
I did have several people come by and ask what kind of car was under the cover. As you can imagine, they didn't have to twist my arm to get me to take the cover off and show them the Berlina S.
As soon as the cover started coming off they would all say-wow!!! It is pretty awesome, so I got hooked and then put the cover on and took it off a couple of times just for my own enjoyment. Each time I would say the same thing-WOW!!
I know it sounds silly, but at 49 you are constantly looking for new experiences-ha!

Jeff,
Congratulations on your S purchase, what year and color did you get?
Let me encourage you to join the S2ki club. The Music City Club is a great group and of course membership in S2ki helps keep this active web site going.
She purchased the cover from Honda. You can see one on the Honda.com website under S2000 exterior accessories.
I hope this helps: If you have any questions, these young guns in the Music City crew have all the answers. They are a wealth of information. Being an old man myself, I just like to hang around them hoping some of their smarts will rub off on me.

How do I join?
I have a MGB that I tinker with but I it is very slow and takes 30 minutes to put the top up and if anyone is old enough to remember, not very dependable more than 10 miles from the house . I sold My Vette coupe with the intentions of buying a new Vert but I stoped by a Honda dealer and test drove a S2000 for the fun of it and just had to have one.
It's like driving a go Kart very fast!!
I really do not know much about these little cars yet. As soon as I got it home I put it on the rack to look under it. This thing is built like a race car.
Anyway-
I have been reading about windshield tape. Should I take mine off since the car is new?
Thanks

Jeff, under forums go to the Introductions forum and they have all the info there.
I think it's still only $20 for regular membership and $50 for gold membership
Hey, I sold my 06 C6 Monterey Red, Coupe and purchased the S as well.
It's a totally different ride, but the longer you keep it the more fun you have. You cruise in the vette, but you drive the S
Have fun!
