Ok guys, so it's going well - adjuster's coming out to examine. And so the big question now is: "Which body shop"? I am automatically hesitant to go with a random one recommended by USAA.
I've checked out the boards, and seen some recommendations for Walter Colson's Paint & Body and Garland and Son's Body. I've heard also excellent things about Alexander Cadillac in Brentwood.
My primary concern is matching the paint perfectly, metal flake and all.

OK, so...all done!
Benchmark Collision Center, LLC on Polk Ave. did the repair. It is flawless. Perfect alignment of metal, perfect paint match. During the process, my driver seat was scuffed a bit (it was worn, and the leather was a bit thin on the left bolster), and they called in an interior repair guy to fix that. He went the extra mile and restored the whole seat - which I didn't expect or pay for. They've returned calls promptly, and delivered on (actually, exceeded) their promise to return the car to pre-accident condition. Highly recommend.
