so - what to do about wheels? I am thinking about those and a shifter - I tried using aftermarket wheels once - on a '98 Acura Integra GSR and it sucked they rubbed really REALLY bad - should I just go with oem dimensions to play it safe? I really don't to start getting into cutting/replacing stuff...

what do you LOCAL guys/gals think?

you have to be very selective and do your homework when it comes to buying wheels. The car out of the box is balanced and everything was taken into consideration in doing so. And when you just throw a set of wheels on it, you could F it up real quick.
Trust me I know from experience.

I believe you - as my lone experience proved to be a bad idea. Just thinking of ways to personalize with sabotaging the car's integrity or warranty for that matter. I guess this blurb wold be kinda off topic in this topic/thread...

Volks make the best offset for our S2ks because they have many many selection. Most common and best offset S2K folks get is 17 x 7.5 +50 front and 17 x 9 +63 rear with 225/45 front and 255/40 rear.

Above sizes are CE-28 model but you can get 10000000000000 different colors so that is also a big +

You cant go wrong with those and no rubbing issue. I have had 2 sets in that size.
