where did you install the Button?

You should have bought a Rear Fog Button for the European Cars and installed it on the oppisite side of the cruise button
Where do you get one of those?

Honestly I dunno.....

I have just seen this done in the past with Fog Lights

over there they have a little red third break light looking deal that is in the middle of the black exhaust trim on the lower part of the rear bumper (wow what a description.)

anyway

it's required for Fog and Bad weather

If Im not mistaken the switch is just like the Cruise Control switch just mirrored to the other side (US Models have the fill in plate) which Im sure you have noticed.

Russell is talking about the defrost switch and I don't have a hardtop so I don't know where that is located (hell it could be in the spot Im talking about)

If I were you I'd check the European Forum
OR

Not on the '02 +, they have the rear defrost button for the glass window. Only us real OG's have the fill plate.
