I always stay in the metropolis of Fleet, from my "normal" hotel, I can walk to the main street where all the resturants/pubs are, that's cool. It's about 35 minutes away from London, there is also a train station in Fleet that I can walk to, that allows me to go to London very easily... heck I have been so much, I give tours now .

My company acquired a company in Farnborough (yes where they do the air shows) and half of my R&D staff are there, so I have to go over occasionally to let them know I still exist .

My wife and I are planning on an England trip soon, so she can visit with her mom's family. I am excited, except for that long plane ride!!!

 

Yes the plane ride sucks! Although the trip over isn't as bad as it normally has a good tail wind and I have made it across in 6 hours (of course then we are early and have to fly in circles waiting on a spot to land). I will say my last trip back was awesome, we flew over Greenland and it was clear... just breath-taking, like seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time...
