denied by honda care
last week I was told by honda that they would not be paying for the repairs on my car. my car is an 01 with 32000 miles on it and it drop a valve on cylinder four. about two before this incendent I took the car to honda b/c of a check engine light came on. the cel code was p0304 which is misfire on cylinder four, honda told me that nothing was wrong with the car and gave it back with the check engine light off. two weeks later check engine light starts to flash and the car died 20 seconds later and would not start back. I had the car towed to honda which now it was a drop vulve on cylinder four. I'm fighting their decision now. anyone ever had problems with honda care warrenty

If you neglected it I can see why, but if they turned you away you should have a case. Honda Care is a pain in the ass to work with though. There was some issues with people having worn out retainers and dropping valves in some of the earlier years, but your car had so low mileage thats just crazy. That is barely more miles than I have on my 04. Good luck man, thats screwy.

Probably denied due to a mechanical over rev sometime in the engine's past.
Either the retainer was cracked from an overrev, then finally broke dropping the valve. Or the valve was bent from an overrev and the head of the valve eventually broke off from the bent stem.
You'll be in for a fight no matter what. Has the dealer removed the cylinder head? Usually a independent inpector must document the damage before HC denies a claim.
Just remember it's a service contract with Hondacare, not a extension of ther factory warrany honored by AHM.
Good luck.

perhaps even finding legal aid.
Get a Lawyer and have him look over everything, then have him give them a call.
Good Luck

they are just giving me a boat load of cash so i can fix it myself. the only bad thing is that the car will not be covered under warrenty anymore. well that's fine with me b/c I get to spend all that money on motor work.now all my plans are coming true
