Default Brit comes to Kentucky

guys

I work for Ingersoll Rand in England and have been offered a job in Mayfield.
I'm also on my fourth S!

So to a few questions.

Is the Mayfield/Kentucky Lake area good for driving roads? I'd go for no5 and Turbo it!
Is it a good area to live with good stuff going on? Like the idea of living near the lake.
A couple of workmates are trying to put me off, but I think they are jealous

I'm going to try and get a two week placement to give it a try.
Up for a meet?

The lake is nice in the summer, no doubt. Im up there a lot

you aren't going to find much in Mayfield. But Paducah is close by (to the north)
and Clarksville - Nashville is to the S-East

We meet in Clarksville more often now (b/c I bitch a lot) but I could meet up with you in Hopkinsville (it's not much but they have a few places to meet for dinner or something like that)

I live in Greenville, KY.....

Anyway - if you make it to KY let us know, we'd be glad to have a "Meet-Greet- and Eat"

If you make it out to visit let us know and we will make sure to get a dinner together.

Are you Brit born or a US transplant?

Thanks guys!

I work for Ingersoll Rand in the UK, I am a true Brit.

What's the weather like come winter? I'm used to rain and some snow.

You will have to explain "jellyman" to me

Lovely product here called KY jelly. KY is also the acronym for Kentucky.
KY Jelly = Kentucky Jelly Kentucky = Jelly State. NVMY4N = Jellyman

Yes, that shit is such a blessing.

Winter is for the most part mild. as I type that we'll get slammed now, but I can only remember 2-3 that really stopped us from leaving the house.

Summer in the south for me is just NICE.
once you adjust to the humidity you'll be okay. Spring and Fall are perfect topdown times day and night
