Best site for rental car deals out of state?
Anyone have any experience or know of a great place to go to get discounts on car rentals? I've tried priceline at the airport I'm going to be flying into but it's the same rate if not higher then me going to the actual places themselves and renting?!?!?!

Scott,
Are you going to be traveling with anyone or have anyone where you're going that's military? If so, I know that when I rented with Avis because I was military they gave a pretty hefty discount (government rate). Hope this helps, otherwise I've got nothing...

Lots of info here:

I also have used the Costco codes for Budget rental with a lot of success. If you're a member, I can dig up the link for their current deals.

I forgot to update this thread, thanks a lot for the info.. I will save that for future use for sure!! I ended up winning a bid of $26 a day ($36 after taxes and stuff) for a economy that got rejected a month ago. It's nuts what they charge for a vehicle now!
