Give me a call for those wheels Jason. I'm just hangin' around town doing nothing remotely productive since I can't work on my car today. Getting ready to go eat right now though.

So whats going on at the Nashville autocross? Just racing? How does spectating go? I'm also considering joining SCCA. If you don't race (yet) is joining worth while? What kind of speeds/track is expected. I've never been and I'd like to know more. So... just rattle on so I can get an idea hehe. I think my sunday might be free now.

Pretty much just racing . Normally get 6 runs, course is typically around 1 minute long (at least for us slow drivers, hehe). When I had my S2K I believe I went over 60mph a few times. In my opinion, autox'n is not much of a spectator sport, unless you are planning on driving yourself and just want to get the feel of how everything works. Of course, you can ride with different people to see how they navigate the course and stuff, that is fun. I would recommend just signing up, drive ur car and have fun!!

I gotta agree with Bradley. I went for a year with my buddies while they raced and I watched. It gets old after the first event and you wont learn half as much as acctually being in the car. If your a bit skittish at first get a helmet and ask to ride shotgun. A good driver/teacher will be invaluable.

Do you have to be a SCCA member to do the shotgun thing?

Well..........I drove the fastest car at the event (Lotus Elise), but could not seem to get used to not having gobbs of stopping power. I failed to finish one clean run. A very dissapointing day to say the least.

Thanks again to Brad for letting me beat your car into submission.
