Apology Issued
To all my new S friends, I must sincerely apologize. My wife and I had the S out on Saturday. I was driving up I-65N and a older Nissan 240 pulled up beside me and reved the motor. I knew he was modified but I took the bait and off we went. At 86mph I backed out of it and let him go. I know if I had continued I could have taken him. I hadn't made 5k on the RPMs but I had my wife in the car and didn't want a ticket within the first month of getting the S. Plus my last ticket 18 months ago cost me $485.
I sincery apologize for not taking him but I am just learning what the little S will do.
It won't happen again!

It could have been Jakes friend. (but i doubt it, he would have killed the S, it's CRAZY Modified)
His name left me right now, Ill think of it in a lil bit.
The whole racing thing is too funny sometimes, esp. with civics that you know have nothing but a muffler from Pep Boys.

njstn,
Thanks, I know nothing about cars, but I like nice ones. I have been blessed to have the resources to buy some nice cars.
I saw a totally restored 71 Chevelle SS yesterday with 400 miles on it. The only thing it was lacking was the dashboard, which is to be put in this week. It is green with the gold bold stripes. It has the 454 and is a gem. The builder is asking 60K. I am thinking about it. I told my wife that would be a nice Valentine gift from her to me.
I don't think she appreciated my suggestion!

-with respect - I would be hesitant to lay down that kind of cash for a Chevelle without knowing that it is the real deal serious or not. It amazes me how much muscle cars are going for these days - I think there are more SS Chevelles & Camaros out on the road now than there was produced.

Thanks for the good advice. I personally know the builder, he is a man of integrity and can sell it for a little more to the public. I saw one at Carl Black's for 55K with 15K miles on it. Plus it had been rebuilt about 8 years ago.
I probably won't buy it but I may borrow it for a weekend just to show off!
