Anyone have a plug tip break off INSIDE their head
So I've had the car for about 3 weeks now. Up until yesterday it was amazing. I was almost even getting the hang of that stage 4 clutch. But then yesterday, fathers day, It was running really odd at low rpm's. I thought maybe the A/C being on was to much drag at a low rpm cause it was sputtering below 4k but fine above. Then today, I'm reading to the MTSU campus and I realize my exhaust note is oddly low. Weird pulsing too. So I get home, check my plugs, and the #3 plug is just gone. There is nothing below the threads. No porcelain, no electrode, nothing.
I'm gonna do a compression test in the morning and see if my rings are fubar'd or the wall is scored.
I don't suppose anyone has a bore scope I can borrow or knows where to rent one? I'd love to not have to pull my head.
Heres a pic of the plugs. 1-4 Left to right. Guess which one was the problem. Notice even the porelcin by the connector is cracked and filled with oil/carbon.

No cel. But it is an aem ems so I don't know if it even would. Also I thought about just getting plugs and trying, but there is another thread on here where a Guy lost half his electrode and it pitted and scored his piston and sidewall. I lost the entire electrode. I'm really nervous about this.

I wouldn't try to run it again till you find the missing pieces that may still be in there. Stuff bouncing around in there is very bad mm'kay. I'd take it all off and see what kind of damage has already been done if you know how or have it towed somewhere and have them check it out.

no weird noises? I'd imagine a foreign bit of metal/ceramic in your motor would make some kind of odd noise, if not a lot.
I'm with these guys saying take it apart and look first though. not worth the chance if you ask me.
good luck!!!
