6 Months to fix that bad boy!

I think it would be best to share rooms anyway to keep the expenses down. We wont be in the room much anyway.

The rates get a little crazy in Indy during race weekend and they sometime hit ya with a 3 or 4 night minimum. I know of some places where we can avoid the minimums and if necessary we could stay outside of Indy (20 to 25 miles) and avoid the rates. It would just mean a 30 minute drive to the track but hey it would be in the S so who cares!!

My car would not make the trip....... I cant seem to keep a turbo in tact for over a 1000 miles.....I would sweat taking it to Miami let alone Indiana....LOL

If i went it would have to be shotgun (not bitch) and splitting hotels/gas with someone. I am not baller enough to go solo.

With the SPGP I am not even sure I would have the available time off.
Thats a real shame because there is no reason why a turbo car cant drive across the country

I think my snail has been rebuilt too many time or something. the setup is rock solid as far as function. I think the turbo itself has seen its better days...

Get a new one (water cooled too) then and sell the re-rebuild. Shit, tell Melissa you need one for Christmas (GOOD LUCK BY THE WAY ROBERT) It's the centennial Indy 500 man! Hell even my slack ass that hates driving lloonngg lloonngg distances in the S is going to make this one although homey is thinking trailer time in a slacken Expedition. It aint like we can't use a support vehicle!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Ordered my tent site last week. Haven't pitched a tent since Woodstock '99.

Received my decals and 2011 calendar today.

The countdown begins!

Nice picture David, that is taken from the outside of the track at turn one looking north up the front stretch & pit lane.

I have been there with snow on the grounds and it is so eerie especially at dusk when the scoring pylon is lighted and the tower lights are on and it is actually snowing. Hard to believe cars running around at 230mph.

Only 5 months away!

Yeah, they sent me a "Holiday Wishes" email with that picture. From what I hear, camping lot #2 is the first to fill up so I wanted to act fast so I bought my tent site back on the 10th of Dec.

I ordered the calendar and 4 window decals at the same time. They mailed it out using UPS/USPS mail innovations. UPS picked up the souvenirs on the 10th, it went to Ohio, Orlando, Jacksonville and out to California the last time I checked. On Monday I called Indy and they apologized and sent another package out that day at no charge. (straight UPS) and I received it yesterday.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to the big race. I've never been to Indy. It will cost $190 roundtrip to fly or about $400 to drive it.

I'm looking forward to the drive.

David

Just checked, original souvenir package arrived back in Jacksonville this morning.
