Wow!

Looks like maybe big 4 wheel drive truck or an SUV going back to front with the direction the mirror is folded.

I hope you know who did it but given today's character of people it was probably a hit and run.

Are you still local or have you moved to So. FL to start school?

Good Luck with the Insurance Company & the repair. Replacement.

The vehicle was hit by a tow truck that was just passing by and apparently the sun blinded his sight to were he didn't even see my car at all, so he says!

Yes fortunately this was not a hit and run, the guys actually stuck around and knocked on the door to inform us. I am now waiting for the insurance company to call me back so I can know whats the next step.

He hit my wheel hard enough to break off two of his lug nuts! But thats just my luck at this point, hopefully things will come around soon!

Thanks for all of your concerns guys.

So what are we thinking guys, totaled? The front fender needs to replaced, the door, the quarter panel, and the rear bumper. The wheels and tires need to be replaced.

There also is some scratches on the passenger side mirror, window, windshield frame, and the passenger rear quarter panel from rubbing on the mail box as it got pushed by the truck.

The car is an 03 with 55k im guessing worth about 11k on the blackbook. And I am taking the car to Gene Perez here in tampa, and I hear they are fairly pricey but do very good work.

So any thoughts on if we think it will be totaled?

That could be estimted up to 15k. My friend had similiar damage on his 03 and it was 12k without replacing the door.

Sorry dude but I think they will total it, Honda's hold their value but you got a lot of work that needs to be done and honestly given the damage it might actually work out better for you depending on where you are with the car (pay off).

Look on the bright side at least the towing should be free. (sorry i couldn't pass it up)

Good luck and leep us posted.

No doubt it's totaled. The rocker panel is slammed in. My rocker was dented and small dent on the rear qp and door and it was 4-5,000 to fix.

Yea at this point I would rather it be totaled depending on what they value the car at.

Also Barry: You would have known I was still in Tampa if you would have gotten yourself up on saturday for C&C! lol but yes I will be here til January due to all of these financial problems I have dug myself into I did not have the means to move to miami that quickly so I had to defer one semester.

I think your 03 with 55K (which is very similar to my car in miles and condition, etc.) is closer to $15K on the street, since that's about what I paid for mine in March of this year.

yeup i agree..same here when i bought mine..as 16k for 47kmil on it...look at it this way..if they do total it..an i think they will....if you are able to pay it off with the ins settlement you money issues would be lessened....now..after this go out and buy that 79 MGB! lol
