Posted this in the s2k talk, but wanted to bring this across you guys as well.

Anyone who would choose a boxter over an S is a bafoon! That's as an unbiased of a remark you'll get out of me. The s2k they used is overpriced if you ask me.

What's your take?

 

I would definitely choose a comparable S2000 over the Boxster anyday. I have never been a fan of the early Boxster's styling or lack of power. I do not want to discredit the Porsche but given a side-by-side comparison the S2000 wins nearly everywhere. Styling is subjective. I happen to like the way both cars look. Keep in mind with a $52000 price tag comes $52000 maintenance. On the other hand, the S2000 is a Honda. You get Porsche performance and Accord maintenance prices and Civic reliability. 20 years from now the S2000 is what is going to be sought after. Just my 0.02.

 

S!!! The old Boxsters aren't anything special.

The new Boxsters, though, I like them a lot and would be hard pressed to not jump on one over the S. They've progressed a lot and now perform at 911 levels.
