I need to vent!
I just need to vent... Here's my cool story
2 weeks ago I'm driving my s home from work following a Mitsubishi on 19. Safe following distance. The mitsubishi hits a piece of metal on flings it up right into my bumper. There a gouge out of the paint as well as a crack my oem lip.
Sweet so I go and buy a new ap2 bumper, oem lip, and a downforce lip. Get the bumper painted a Kuhn, put it on it looks great.
Driving home from work same stretch of 19 and boom the mustang in front of me throws up what looks like a box into my bumper.
I'm now standing looking at my one day old new painted bumper and lip are both scratched badly.
I'm ready to give up and sell the car, it's too nice to daily. I already have a project car I'd never sell. So I can't have 3 cars. I just don't get it....
Sorry to cry to you guys

The common thing here seems to be your travel on US19, maybe a different route?
We all know the roads are littered with debris and junk these days, especially the highways with exploded truck tire remnants, I try and allow more distance between myself and the car in front because most people also are paying even less attention to the road and will eventually hit whatever is in it.
Good Luck!

If it's any consolation, you're not the only one with terrible luck. I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (aka, behind an oblivious driver in a full size van backing out of his spot in a tight parking lot) just yesterday. After I just spent 2600 in bodywork on my STi two months ago before it went up for sale.
Keep it up - It's the price for having a clean daily. Or retire it from its dd duty and get a beater. I look forward to being able to do that in a few years...

I feel your pain, I had something similar happen to me two days after I got my miata out of the paint booth. I actually got hit by a sheet of siding off the back of some idiots truck. It sucks to have a nice daily, beaters are where its at!
