Dealership called, my car has been in an accident
I took my car in yesterday for a check engine light. I was told I had to leave it overnight and the tech will take it for a test drive to diag. the problem.
So, I get a rental while my car is being worked on. The next morning I get a call
from the Service Manager. She said that I should go down to the dealership to take a look at my car. It has been in an accident! She also stated that the tech had gone to the hospital because of some pains associated with the crash.
The story is that he was sitting at a red light, when a car slammed into the back of him, sending my car foward onto another vehicle. The tech told me he didn't even hear any tire squeeling. So, the guy didn't even hit the brakes...
Sounds horrible, but the actual damage doesn't seem too bad... I think the tech will be ok, he was a little soar. Now, I'm just trying to get things in order.
Honda gave me a loaner (civic) until all the insurance companies agree on who's at fault (The guy who rear ended my car), he was cited for careless driving.

The guy that rear ended your car is at fault.
I am sure the dealership is going to take very good care of you.
At least it does not sound like the post of the million dollar car getting destroyed.
Good luck with everything.

looks like a new trunk, rear bumper, front bumper, possibly lights and probably more
I agree with the fault...def. the guy that rearended the car...dealership is responsible for your repairs and I would insist on 100% new OEM parts.
Have fun in the civic, you will be in it for a couple weeks
