Nice! What made you want to do the compression test? Just curious?

I bought the car back in Oct and never did a compression test. I figured I would get to it once I got my tester back from the friend I loaned it to monthssss ago

I want to do a valve adjustment and then do the leak down test next. The car runs and feels strong I'm just going through the car a little more as I get time.

Very nice. To my surprise when I did a compression check on my S2000 at 140k my compression on the lowest cylinder was 240 which I'm still I'm shock about

I just did mine also, 250 across the board. My S is also a 2000 with 85,000.

Wow, great numbers for higher mile cars I think the 250 psi is the top of the new engine standard. I will probably redo the test once the valves are adjusted and she has a fresh oil change.

Seriously great numbers on both cars.

Oil change shouldn't make a differnce on compression numbers, but if you have a valve slightly out of spec it may help, but those numbers are absolutely nothing to be concerned about. Motor looks to be super healthy.
