Default Anyone know how to install a garage door opener?

So we recently purchased a new construction townhouse at the end of last year. Being that its new construction it didnt have some things like a garage door opener. It is however completely wired for one.

I purchased a Craftsman opener several months ago and yet it sits in the garage.

Was just wondering if anyone in the area knew how to install these and has experience before I call Sears to come do it.

Lunch and beers of your choice shall be provided during install

Instructions should be in the box. Pretty straight forward though, just make sure you attach to the rafters and header board securely. Very simple. You also want to be sure you get it centered so that the door goes up and down smoothly. The person that installed my garage door opener was off several inches and it shakes like holy hell when going down and occasionally binds which causes it to go back up.

Yuh, I was going to mention that in response to SortaRican's post. I've got the jist how to do it but its hanging it that gets me stumped. The ceilings are about 12ft tall and the garage door is only 7ft tall so the opener has to hang down.

WIN!

Thats my thinking. Get enough of us together and after a few beers one of us has to know what they are doing, or at least be able to convince the rest of us they do!

Ceiling is flat and everything else is ready for install from the wiring for the unit, the control unit and the safety lasers at the bottom. Its all there waiting lol
