Why custom wheels?

1. The S2000 needs really high offsets that are not typical in the industry and there are no readily available off the shelf options that maximize wheel widths for stock, over fenders or body kits
2. Maximizing wheel width are critical to maximize braking and cornering speeds as the Miata racing market have proven that for every 1" of wheel width you can add, can shave 1 second per minute of track time
3. URGE designs custom wheels can maximize wheel widths for stock, +1” over fenders or +2” wide body kits
4. While supporting staggered/non-staggered prerence and custom color preferences

URGE designs has almost a decade of experience delivering S2000 custom wheels supporting

• 17x9" or 18x9.5" on stock front fenders
• 17x10" or 18x10.5" on +1” front over fenders or stock rear fenders
• 17x11 or 18x11.5” on +2” front body kits or 1” rear over fenders
• 17x12 or 18x12.5 on +2” rear body kits

Over the last decade our custom aluminum wheel prices started in the mid $3000 range but steadly increased in price to over $5000 due to vendor and material price hikes.
We also have had unstable magnesium providers as well.

After searching for new options, our custom aluminum wheels in 17 or 18” are back to mid $3000 or 30 to 50% less than rest of the custom market and weigh less or match forged aluminum weights at the same or wider wheels at similar load ratings.
We have also found a best in class Magnesium source and can provide 18” wheels are under $6000 or more than 50% less than OEM magnesium or carbon options and are typically 20-40% lighter than forged aluminum and can match carbon wheel weights

Custom wheels are more expensive than forged or cast wheels, however with customer wheels, we can potentiall get an extra half to full inch wider wheels, provide ideal fitement for OEM or custom fenders and offer many color options.
Wider wheels have more potential for lap time reduction than any other modifications you can make. Each 1" of wheel width is worht about 1 second per 1 min of track time due to carrying more speed in the corners and later braking.
