got another email from Jim@Tirerack, he claims Dunlop has NO official release date on the next batch of rear tire sizes

That kind of blows, may have to stick with the AD07s, not like it is a bad choice, just more money. Though I am not sure they offer the 245/40 size in the US, so might have to get in touch with friends back on Okinawa to hook it up for me.

i may go with the azenis...$450ish is not bad for tires

only have 225/255 tho...

how do you guys think the azenis preform in sudden down pours? i am stuck between azenis and yoko s.drives. i have heard mixed reviews of azenis in the rain.

I live in Seattle home of the rain. I used them on my DC5 for a year and a half straight...i was fine. But the DC5 and AP1/2 are two completely different cars...

azenis are fine in the rain as long as you have good tread. when they get worn they are scary

Well I just checked my bank account online and I have a pending transaction from TIRERACK for $625 so I am guessing the Dunlops have ARRIVED!!! As I placed that order back in June and was told I wouldn't be charged until the tires I believe shipped, so they might actually already be on there way to me here.
