sorry i was wrong, tirerack.com says black painted, but they look pretty glossy to me!

If you see their photo of the silver finished RPF1 it looks extremely glossy, but we all know it isn't as glossy as that. Photos can be deceiving to the naked eye . I'm sure a call to TR will confirm them as matte finish.
