So here it is!
Uh oh!!!!!!!
And
So, after waiting over a month for the top, it arrives.
As the truck pulled up to the house and the back open, the first thing the guy says, was oh, it didn't look like that when I did my last delivery. It was laying flat on the ground and it was supposed to be standing straight up. We opened it up and discovered the scratch. Being a rookie to carbon fiber and after spending $2500 on a "new" hardtop, I did not take delivery of the item as it was scratched and the box was clearly damaged. I'm now in the process of working with SAIA freight to get things straightened out to get a new one.
I told the delivery driver how much it cost and his eyes went wide open.
I'm sure it'll all work out in the end with SAIA and Forbidden USA.
As I have not figured out what's going to happen next, I do want to say that I AM IN NO WAY BLAMING FORBIDDEN USA OR SAIA AS TO WHO IS AT FAULT. JUST STATING MY STORY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TODAY WHEN THE HARDTOP WAS DELIVERED.
As I stated above, I don't know the extent of the damage, just that it had scratches and I will not accept a product that needs to be fixed.
Uh oh!!!!!!!

Just so you know, Forbidden USA and I are working things out with the hardtop. They have been great to work with during this situation. It seems that the box was fine until it got in the hands of this certain driver. He even said it looked fine when he got it. I trust Forbidden USA 100% and look forward to getting my hardtop without any scratches.
Thanks for all the help Alberto.
