Should it be placed more toward the edge of the hardtop, the middle, or the inside of the hardtop? What I have pictured is the seal seated in the channel toward the outer edge of the hardtop. Is this ok? Thanks for any help!

Install the door seals while the top is on the car. This way you will be able to tell how much you have to cut. Start from the door and finish towards the windshield.

Ugh! I can not wait for tax money! I'm dying for a HT after all these great reviews! Always been skeptical and now I'm broke.

Not stupid...I'm interesting in finding out the same thing...Alberto himself reccomends against tinting lexan...What is everyone doing if you want to tint the sides with this hardtop??

It is do able but not recommend. Regardless of what anyone says, it will bubble sooner or later. The reason why I'm able to offer "tint" lexan is because it is the shade it comes from the manufacture. Basically it is like a dark gray lexan that really looks like 40%.
