Got my single side 1x1 installed a month or so ago by the boys over at forbidden. Really good guys, took care of me and my laguna blue real quick and it looks great. Had the common squeak/rubbing sound from the hardtop on the plastic trim which i expected. They shinetsu greased it for me and i was on my way. The look and fit is amazing, only had a problem with my window going too high from being off track on the regulator -common s2k problem if you use auto down- didn't really mind it cause I knew my window was too high to begin with, and adjusting the stoppers on the window isn't a big deal. Drove off after around an hour or so at the shop and couldn't be happier. Carbon looks great, edges are great, weave is nice, no pitting on the edges at all! Aesthetically the piece is 9.5/10 and thats only because i dislike the lexan window from personal preference. The fitment is around a 9/10 and i doubt there is a better fitting replica hardtop in the market. I rated it 9/10 cause of the passenger side's window needing to be a bit lower than normal to avoid rubbing the top. The window just tickles the top but it worries me every now and then but nothing a little adjusting cant fix.
Honestly it's the best replica hardtop on the market. For the price i paid and the quality i got, there really isn't any other top that can beat it. That is said without mentioning the amazing customer service of the guys at Forbidden. They are definitely the best company/team of guys I ever purchased and worked with.
A very important note: To fix the squeaking/ rubbing sounds from the plastic trim, use the trick of putting felt tape on the plastic. I don't remember who i saw that posted the fix so i'm sorry i can't give credit
but this is honestly the best 100% fix ever. I put it on yesterday and couldn't be happier. No squeaks whatsoever no matter what i did to try to replicate it! PERFECT FIX! PUT THAT SHINETSU GREASE DOWN AND BUY FELT TAPE!
