Which of the non recline-able seats would fit in the cockpit without rubbing the door and center console? I need one that will fit around a 34-36" waist as well.
Please PM me with details.

Just so there's some consolidated information on the Type 1 and Type 2 seats, I thought I'd comment on my installation.
-The glove box becomes almost completely nonfunctional with both seats installed.
-No instructions are included with the seats/rails/sliders. Just a bag of bolts, nuts and washers. Budget several hours for install.
-The material/padding on my friend's Type 5 is completely different from the mesh-like fabric on my Type 2. Mine also say "F1Spec" on the black plastic pieces surrounding the harness holes, his do not. If I had to guess, I'd say they were not even made in the same location. Overall seat quality on the Type 5 appears to be higher but this is of course subjective. There is definitely thicker padding on the 5.
-The seat belt receiver on the passenger side required modification to work. Not sure on the driver's side because once I saw the situation with the passenger side, I went ahead and made a bracket for both. Here is what it looked like prior to fabbing up a bracket to extend the receiver:
That's it sitting underneath the inside bolster. There was no way to buckle the belt.
Here's the steel bracket to extend the receiver with grade 8 bolts we picked up from the hardware store:
Here's the finished product... a usable seat belt:
I did talk to Ming about this but felt these issues were largely underrepresented on the forums and was unsatisfied with his short responses not addressing all of my issues. Finally in his third email back to me, he did admit the glove box is obstructed.
Just posting because I wish I'd have had this information prior to purchase. Thanks.
