I've had one of these in my S2000 for about four years, which includes many, many track days, and hundreds of autocross runs. Never was there a hint that the valve would open.
To change my oil, I just warm up the car, turn it off, open the oil fill cap, put a drain pan under the oil pan, open the valve, remove the filter, leave it alone for a while to drain completely, put on a new filter, close the valve, re-fill. It literally is only a couple of minutes of my time, and I don't have to jack up the car.

Wow a minute oil change, I'd be scared of it some how failing and your oil dumps out and bam seized engine. Not saying it would but just a fear ha.

Regarding the valve failure: The OEM oil drain bolt is still also a bolt like the valve. People have done many autocrosses with the valve installed. Plus there is a lifetime warranty that will also cover damage caused to the engine if ever their product is to fail.
