Any counter arguments to the magnetic drain bolts???
Had the same thought before installing the Fumoto. Chose the Fumoto over the magnetic drain bolt and my reasoning was " how important could a magnetic drain bolt be if it was't OEM"? Or it could be my lazy side won out.

I think my lazy side is winning over as well. I had a magnetic drain bolt in there and i still blew my engine...

i don't think matters.. and because it's so easy to do an oil change you can change your oil more frequently, which is better for the engine than any magnetic drain bolt could be

That would be my argument!

I would be interested in knowing what the drain bolt pitch and size is on the transmission drain. I stripped mine years back and would like to use one of these as a permanent addition and to ease the oil changes. It looks like numbers 16-23...

If anybody has this information I would be much obliged

Someone said a previous page that the transmission drain bolt was the same size and pitch as the oil drain bolt. The oil drain bolt is 20mm-1.5.

Just wondering if anyone can verify this for sure Honda dealerships aren't too good at answer questions about Honda's...

That would be awesome to find out! Now that I installed my Fumoto valve for oil changes I'm liking the thought of being able to do the same for the transmission. I'm guessing the differential is totally out of the question?

I'd think that if the oil drain plug fit into the transmission plug hole that the Fumoto valve would work on the transmission too. But I don't want to just guess with this... Clearly someone has some solid info on this... Who to ask...

Suit yourself, obviously, but what's the advantage of using the valve for the tranny or the differential? You still have to put the car on jackstands to fill them....

Agree, not enough advantage here. Magnetic drain bolts are probably the best you can do for the tranny and diff.
