There's a boxster in the autotrader right now, the guy claims he paid over $100k, so yes it can get up there.

Cayman is a MUCH worse name than S2000, come on. Cayman? So is the convertible now the CayWoman?

that used to be the case, but what is happening now is co's are coming out with their verts first and then the fixed roof with some performance bumps and keeping prices somewhat the same...marketing strategy mostly.

Although Boxster S' may start at $75k, I thought that a reasonably spec'd one was about $90k, no?
i understand....but it's still tough to stomach....

yeah, i suspect most BS's spec out at 90K....i was just comparing base pricing.

As much as I like porsche it would be a serious debate for me, to get the power of the vette at that price tag as well. Sure it's not as blingy, but feeling like you are on a rollercoaster everytime you hit the gas has it's thrill too.

I hear ya James. As the official P-car hater, I would opt for the Vette if I were int he price range of a base model P-car. If I was in the price range for a loaded version I would rather buy a used Ferrari, no question about it...
