Red face WTB: OEM Hardtop

I know they're rare. They were rare when I bought the car new in 2005. If someone has an OEM hardtop with hardware they want to sell, preferably GPW, but any colour will do, please let me know. Thanks.

Unicorn request in Canada. Good luck though.

There was a Berlina black one for sale last month. But you need deep pockets. Asking price was $8000 and it sold in a few days.

I knew they were up there, but not $8,000. That doesn’t make much sense in my opinion, but I guess the buyer really wanted it.

Other more common colors like silver ive seen listed at $6k but that was mid-summer 2020. Part prices are on the rise.

Very true. They're becoming highly sought after.

$6,000 is not much lower than $8,000- but it’s digestible. In good condition, with all hardware and in GPW for that price would be nice to see... hopefully soon.

If not I may consider selling. I’m the original owner of a Canadian AP2 2005 so it would be sad to see it go.

Funny thing is I could have bought a GPW hard top 10 years ago for $2,500. Shit!

Was that CAD or USD?

It was CAD.

Anything over $5,000 for a hardtop is too much to pay IMO, unless you have endless deep pockets and money grows on trees for you.

Agreed. Time to wait and see. Hopefully I don’t turn into a senior citizen waiting...
