WTB: OEM deck
Sorry if this is inappropriate for this forum. Please delete or lock it if it is. I really would like to purchase locally after getting screwed in the past, and I'm hoping someone has one laying around.
I think I'm looking for an 02-03 deck for my Type R. What I need is an OEM looking deck (read black with amber lighting) that will more or less plug and play, but has a square CD changer connector instead of the round one that the NSX and Type R have.
Oh yeah, I bought a Type R as a winter beater/Solo1 car. Tee hee. Unfortunately I need a new engine already... damn bastard selling it with problems...

Heh. Well, the car came with an alpine deck already installed in it, but I don't like all these fancy buttons. All I really need is a volume control for my iPod, and sometimes a radio. I'm looking for an OEM deck, because there are a lot more options for hooking up an iPod, like I did in the s200k. It doesn't hurt that the deck is rated for more watts.
Ugh. Don't ask me how much Rs are going for. Heh. 2000s were listed between 18 and 22. I got the one that was 18. It's probably going to cost me a bit over 3k to fix it. I'm replacing the block with a built one, and I'm getting the syncros redone in the tranny. Grrrrr. I figured I'd have to do the synchros, but I wasn't expecting to have to do the engine.
...and don't ask me about how much doors are going for either. I have the absolute worse luck when it comes to this car. I was replacing the rice boy exhaust with a stock one, and I brought my 4Runner that I'm trying to sell beside it to light under the car, and I hit a patch of ice and hit the door. Me suck...
That car has been nothing but problems since I got it. But it should be fine after I get all this crap out of the way...
