The 245 MIGHT actually be a TAD wider.

The "contact patch" on the OE S-02 (225/50-16) is 8.5" and a regular 245 is close +/- depending on the tire. A 245/45-16 S-03 may even be the same.

I know when I got my new S-03's in for the rear they "looked" smaller than the OE S-02's i was replacing.

The tire width (sidewall to sidewall) between the 2 is as follows:

OE S-02 (225/50-16)
9.2"

S-03 (245/45-16)
9.6"

The rear OE S-02 has a very sharp edge with very little sidewall buldge which gives it a contact patch very close to a 245.

There's a few sets of 17" Work rims being sold locally, Randy. They're not perfect offsets, but many (including the Speedstar guys) seem to be running them at the track with little problem...
