Default WTB 17" rims

I need a second set of rims for autox tires. Anyone? ( No bent rim thread hijackers please.)

Well, If I get 16's can I get tires to fit that will give the equivilant contact patch, and maintain the speedo/odometer settings, that the my04 tires give? The my04 suspension does differ from my00-03. I think that's why Honda went with wider wheels/tires. To try and maintain the same level of grip.

i don't think the 04 tires wheels/tires are "wider" than 00-03 (check with toosteely.. he had both)

04 suspension does differ from 00-03... however i don't think they changed the offset ... plus... you control the contact patch my various tire sizes... not by rim diameter size.. that has nothing to do with it

your speedo/odometer will be off only if you change the tire "thickness".. not the rim size...

you can put 04 rims on a 00-03 or vice versa (stock rims i am talking about) for aftermarket, you have to make sure the offset is correct so the tires won't rub

I was reading a thread about this the other day on here someplace.

Some mag or maybe it was best motoring. Took an '03 around a track and an '04, the '04 was like .5s faster (2.0L) then they switched the tires (16's on the '04 and 17's on the '03) and basically the times flopped. The '04 was slightly faster than the '03 with the '03 tires because of the suspension though.

would that be because the s02 needs more time to warm up to optimal operating temp then the 04 REs?

04+ front tires are 215 where 03- are 205.

Rear are near identical. 03- 225 rear (but actual is near 245) and 04+ is 245.

I'm not sure about rim width but the offsets are the same and the 04+ rear suspension is a bit softer to decrease oversteer.

Re-Read what James wrote you idiot.

04 was faster in both cases.
