... with Rob to a degree..
Remember the Civic and the Z06 at the pro-slolam.
146 HP civic (NON VTEC!) vs 405 HP Vette.
Vette won by a hair....
That said...I want a big ass red light!

Haha, ok well on the RX8, there is a stupid red light or whatever colour it is that blinks when it goes down 1 or 2 psi. If you change rims you have to buy new sensors at $400 a pop, or the light is on constantly. Sounds like the Z has it built into some other function like the NAV??
I know a guy with an MDX with the function as well and he finds it annoying it yells at him all the time and he tried to get new rims but was told the crazy cost of having the sensors......
So you could change rims and then disable the light, but then what's the point of having the feature anyways?
I'd come out to the meet if I didn't live in Ottawa

yeah, on the Z all the functions are on a little display in one of the 3 pods in the centre of the dash. You basically pick which one you want displayed while you drive (there's the psi for front L/R and rear L/R, digital speedometer, DTE, timer funcions, blah, blah, blah, toys! toys! toys! ), and if there is an allert with a function you're not displaying a little icon for that function will blip at the bottom of the display untill you acknowledge it.
You could change rims and keep the little sensors, I'm sure there is a way. At this point I haven't had to worry about that. And when I put on my snows for a few months I can live without the psi readings. If in doubt I can alway drag my ass out of the toasty car and check the old fashioned way

the tire pressure monitoring systems in the M3 aren't too bad either. Also, it isn't anything you couldn't handle in changing yourself there James. It wouldn't be nearly as complex as building your home theatre!

yeah i transferred the tps from my stock rims to my 19s when i upgraded... they come out no problem
but sometimes the TPS won't fit in the new rim... esp. the JDM ones due to the valve stem position... plus your tire installer has to be REALLY careful or he could end up snapping them in half
anyway they're worth the trouble i'd say... i keep my computer on the psi display ... i guess i'm mainly paranoid that i'm running my PSIs too low and end up bending a rim, but they're still nice to have for safety reasons too
kinda missed it in our S... when we first picked up the car, the tires were @ 19 PSI
