Location is everything! Cant wait until I'm 25
turning 25 and having your insurance drop is a myth haha, at least that's what my insurance company told me (TD)

my rates should also be going down once i register with the PEO, try and find out if your company has a group rate for your profession. or if you're an alumni of any school, i know TD gives a good deal
it indeed does go down when you turn 25. some companies wont even insure you for commercial insurance if you arent 25 (1st hand experience)

Desjardins offers a device called adjusto, it logs your driving habits and data and if you drive "safe" you save X amount every month. not sure I'd want an insurance company knowing how my driving habits are, what if you forget the device plugged in when you go to the track...

I think I pay about 140 for full coverage. Have it on stationary coverage for about 4-5 months per year.

Move to Sarnia....
Mine is $630 annually.
I don't bother taking it off for the winter, but I suppose I should and save a bit.

I'm 99/mo in Burlington, but it's insured as a "Leisure" vehicle. State Farm.

If you're going to post, please post the insurance company you're getting your rates from and the area. It makes a big difference

This is an interesting topic. We have three cars and a house insured with State Farm and live in Guelph.

Both of the daily drivers are 2013 model years and insurance is about $100/month on the Civic and $110 on the Rav4.

My S2000 is only insured for 7 months and costs $71/month.

Insurance when it is off the road is $18 for 5 months or just under $4/month.

Worth shopping around and applying any professional or school alumni or even CAA discount.

Grouping all of your insurance with one company can help too.

State Farm was an absolute nightmare for me. I started off at 230$ a month, and for absolutely no reason, 2 years into my insurance, they upped it to 360$ a month.

Swapped to Desjardin back to 220$ a month and now 4 years of insurance with the S, I'm at $81.50/ month and 7$/month when off the road. (clean record)

I'm also under 25 so they're probably an insurer to look at for the younger crowd here.
