I'm looking fwd to the snow so i can test these dunlop m2's out.

However it can go away as soon as i get a good impression

We've had this discussion here a gazillion times but it's worth a mention yet again. We drive what is basically a $50K car. Nice? Sure it is. How is it any "nicer" than the people who drive $60K, $70K, $80K SUVs, all winter long. Do you think they would like it less if they get into a mishap? Do you think that just because they have an SUV, that they can drive through winter better and safer? Are all those RWD taxicab drivers and RWD police car drivers braver than anyone else? NO! They just have the knowledge, experience and instinctive reflexes to operate such a vehicle in an urban motoring environment safely and efficiently.
Those of us who negotiate our S2000s through winter conditions are not necessarily "brave" or "rich". It has just become second nature and once it gets beyond the "white knuckle" experience, it becomes FUN! Those who view "winter" as a driving handicap or view it as an easy way to a damaged "nice" car, will never get it.
BTW, I am in my 5th Calgary winter with this S2000 and (knock on wood) not once have I made contact with anything that I shouldn't have and I drive my car anytime, anywhere I need to drive it. And I have a BLAST doing it.
ps. My car has neither rusted away, fallen apart, or any worse for wear after I clean it up in the spring.

I congratulate ALL S2000 owners who drive their cars all winter for not letting urban myths and misconceptions stop them from enjoying this wonderful car whenever they please. They USE their car's depreciation instead of letting it disappear while parked under a cover.

pps. I'm with Simon in that I once looked for an NSX for the sole reason that it would be THE perfect winter sports car. It has RWD, with the weight of the engine on the drive wheels and it would be an even BIGGER BLAST to drive all winter. I see them around here quite a bit.
Geez, touchy subject around here. I'm happy that you're enjoying the urban motoring environment, whatever that means, lol

btw, the 'brave & rich' comment was in relation to a Ferrari, not an S2000 or some other SUV, I should have included the quote in my post.... also I wasn't arguing the merits (or lack there of) a rwd vs fwd vehicle in the winter. Happy that you support our police and local taxi drivers, lol.

My comments are neither an 'urban myth or a misconception', they simply are my opinion, which last time I checked was ok to express around here?

No point in trying to attack my driving ability when you have never met me.
