Decided to take advantage of my age and joined AARP to get my discounts. Now we'll just have to ask for them, if we remember. It's like our AAA card we can get discounts if we remember to ask for them, and it's like Colleen being an employee of the UofM, a lot of stores in the area offer discounts....IF YOU REMEMBER TO ASK FOR THEM.

I have found that in my travels, that "seniors" discount is not always the best rate or price. It's a shame that some places still like to screw with old people.

Yeah that's a fact. When I worked in the Hotel industry the best rate was when the hotel wasn't full and you knew what the break-even point for a room was. Filled nights look better on the books. You could haggle a rate right at the desk.
