Voltage Stablizer makes my car go slower
Last week I took the S to Speedstar for oil change, and got Albert to install the TR1 voltage stablizer. I was thinking it doesn't cost a lot, I would be happy if it works as well as Albert advertise.
Wow, my car goes slower now....
My car is stock, and like many of you I got used to giving pretty of gas just to get off red light. I practically do not and can not just feather the clutch with little gas to get the car going. The car would easily blog while engine hestiates under 2K RPM. The result is I always drive like those FnF kids even though I am a fat old man.
The improvement the voltage stablizer makes is noticeable. Like many others who testified in the board, it gets off idle lots smoother. The engine feels more 'confident' across power band. Now I can drive slower in first gear with much less chance of blogging. Of course, it revs smoother whenever I want to get up there, which I do often too.
It is a logical mod for me cause I don't enjoy the sound (noise) that CAI or exhaust makes. Thanks Albert for recommending it.
My plan is to progressively mod my car so I can enjoy it at different stage of improvement. I told my colleagues at work (a car company) about my next big thing: A 4.77 gear set is being shipped from Rick's. They are like 'Ah! what? gear?' They have no idea what car passion is about.
p.s. it was good to meet some of you at Speedstar today.

Never heard of "blogging"
Seems to me someone with "car passion" would have more of an issue with "bogging"...
Sorry, just being a smart ass.
Glad to hear it makes a difference - you're certainly not the first to say so

Doggy, I swear some dude that looked just like you just came up to my car, looked inside and commented on how nice my "Caddy" was.
"It must of set you back lots" - "Yes I guess?"
"I've always admired your Caddy" - "Fanks"
Anyhow, yeah stabilzation is good, sudden increase and decrease for anything is NOT good!
