sorry to the op going ot, ignore this
well, how you valuate what a city offers depends on your personality and the type of things you enjoy doing
imo, i've done everything that toronto has to offer to me already. the main benefit of living in toronto previously was the fact that my parents enjoyed the winter/skiing but now i find the resorts here a complete joke after skiing on some real mountains. what is there to do in toronto? the cn tower, acc, niagara falls, the former cullen garden, etc. not being a smartass, i'd really like to be enlightened.
nyc is boring, been there 10+ times. attractions yada yada same dizzle. unless you're jay-z, things get boring.
i find that any city after living in it for 3+ years as long as you are an outgoing person, you'll experience everything that it has to offer. going to the same clubs, partying, etc all gets lame quickly
living out west, say southern california, you are next to the pacific ocean, i could go surfing anytime i wanted to. or i could drive a few hours and head to lake tahoe/big bear and ski on real mountains. not to mention the all around generally nice weather all year
this is all me personally, imo, everybody's different

I know when I visit I always enjoy a little walk through the Ferrari Dealership, I suspect there may not be many of those in Grand Rapids, sort of like here in Henrietta...
Another thing for me, I always look forward to trying new places to eat. Toronto being such an international city has more than enough unique places to try.
