VAFC Tuning
I know some people will Smack their heads with this question
I guess I'm a newb.
Someone with
Intake + Headers + exhaust
Now is a good time to Pick up VAFC or ECU???
What is the difference between Mugen ECU or Jap-Spec Ecu compared to VAFC tuning.

IMO, the VAFC does really nothing to our F20c's
for further knowledge and a more in depth explanation, I'd PM _Speedstar_ as they were the one who helped me remove mine.

I'm no expert, but I find it hard to believe you couldn't match the settings of the mugen ECU with the VAFC.
I do know though that the Mugen ECU does not have the immobilizer circuitry in it, and seems to be a pain in the ass, along with helping alittle.

keep in mind that with an aftermarket ECU, you dont have the O2 sensor issue, which allows one to use a test pipe.
some people have reported gains with the VAFC, from my understanding I think there is a VAFC tuning library on this site somewhere...try to search for it.

The thing is that in order to get gains from a VAFC, it is my understanding that someone who is a VAFC expert has to tune it.
Assuming the same settings from another similarily equipped car is optimal, or even good, for a different car has led to some people having problems with VAFCs.
You have to get someone who knows what they are doing to tune it on a dyno. Sometimes often.
